Delete your data
Last updated October 28, 2026.
You can delete what FiveStar knows about you yourself, in the app, at any time. If you would rather we do it, or you want your whole account deleted, email us (see Ask us to delete everything).
Forget everything FiveStar remembers
- Open askfivestar.ai and sign in with the account you used before.
- Open What FiveStar remembers (the memory button at the top of the page).
- Tap Forget everything about me at the bottom of the panel.
This erases your memory, interests, preferences and trips, and the progress of any email reading. It also disconnects Gmail and revokes FiveStar's access at Google. The conversation on the page is cleared too.
To remove a single memory instead, tap the remove button next to it in the same panel. To delete a single trip, open Your trips.
If you used FiveStar without signing in, do the same in the same browser: what FiveStar remembered for you is tied to that browser.
Delete your check-ins
- Open your account (your name or picture at the top right).
- Open Your check-ins.
- Delete any check-in, or tap Delete all my check-ins.
Places you added or corrected stay on the map for other travelers, with your name removed.
Delete a review
Open the place, find Your review, and tap Delete. Your name, picture and words are removed from it.
Disconnect each provider
Google (sign-in, Gmail, Google Calendar). In FiveStar, open your account and tap Disconnect Gmail (and disconnect Google Calendar if you connected it). This deletes FiveStar's access token and revokes it at Google. You can also remove FiveStar at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Microsoft (sign-in, Outlook mail and calendar). In FiveStar, open your account and disconnect Outlook. Then remove FiveStar at account.microsoft.com/privacy/app-access for a personal account, or ask your administrator for a work or school account.
Amazon (sign-in). Remove FiveStar under Login with Amazon at amazon.com/ap/adam.
X (sign-in). Remove FiveStar at x.com/settings/connected_apps.
Facebook (sign-in). Remove FiveStar in Facebook under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (facebook.com/settings?tab=applications). Removing the app there stops FiveStar from receiving anything more from Facebook; to delete what FiveStar already has, use the steps on this page or email us.
Forwarding address and calendar links. In your account in FiveStar, turn off your forwarding address and remove any calendar subscription link.
Linked sign-ins. In your account, under Linked sign-ins, tap Remove next to any sign-in you no longer want linked.
Ask us to delete everything
Email support@askfivestar.com from the email address on your FiveStar account (or tell us which sign-in you use), with the subject "Delete my FiveStar data". We will delete your account and everything linked to it: memory, interests, preferences, trips, check-ins, reviews, linked sign-ins and connections, and revoke any email or calendar access. Places you added or corrected stay, without your name. We confirm by email when it is done, within 30 days.
