Help and questions
What is FiveStar?
A personal AI concierge for travel and for everyday plans. Ask in plain words ("somewhere quiet for dinner near the hotel", "plan Saturday with the kids") and FiveStar answers in conversation, pins the places on a map with directions, keeps your trips, and learns how you like to travel. Open it at askfivestar.ai.
Does it cost anything?
No. FiveStar is free to use.
Do I need an account?
No. You can ask FiveStar anything without signing in. Sign in when you want it to remember you on other devices, keep trips, check in, or write reviews.
Is there an app to install?
FiveStar runs in your phone's or computer's browser. On a phone you can add it to your home screen from the browser's share or menu button.
Why does FiveStar ask to read my email or calendar?
Only if you ask it to: connecting is optional. FiveStar uses read-only access to find your own travel bookings (flight and hotel confirmations, reservations, itineraries) and turn them into trips, and to learn your travel preferences from them. It is never used for ads, never sold, and never used to train general AI models. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Who can see my check-ins?
Only you. Activity that FiveStar shows publicly is counted across at least five travelers, and never shows who is at a place now.
Who can see my reviews?
Everyone, with your name and picture, like reviews on a map. You can edit or delete a review any time.
How do I see or delete what FiveStar remembers?
Open What FiveStar remembers at the top of the app. Remove any item, or tap Forget everything about me. Every way to delete your data is on Delete your data.
Something's wrong, or I have an idea
Email support@askfivestar.com. If a place's details are wrong, you can also correct them when you check in there.
